Tyler Stanton was born in 1980. Two years later he turned two. Throughout high school Tyler was a multi-sport athlete, helping multiple teams win multiple games. By the time Tyler graduated in 1999 he no longer played any sports at Parkview High School, mainly because he didn’t agree with the winning philosophies of the athletic department. Tyler then attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where he dominated or tried to dominate all intramural sports. At Samford Tyler received a business degree, but more importantly Tyler learned how to be part of a team. He has taken these lessons learned about teamwork beyond his college years, as he has since been able to become a team player through his workings at Young Life and dontbethatguy. Tyler still refuses to be a team player in games such as checkers, golf, wall ball, solitaire, Pictionary, and lay up drills.
